When I discussed Hopfest I talked about Charleston, SC. The first two pictures featured on this page resulted from that same radio ad person. I was at an event and set up next to an artist. A year or so later, I found out a guy wanted a history of rockstars mural so I reached out to the artist from Charleston and she brought her friend, street artist Patch Whiskey with her and my journey in Street art and large scale murals began (2012)

Darn Good Places: Past Projects-Events and Community-Public Art

Two artists spray painting a mural on a brick wall at night, with painting supplies on a table nearby.

The mural was on an appliance store originally, a couple years after it was painted, the building was purchased and converted into a brewery, the first in High Point.

Street art mural of a large face on a brick building, with big expressive eyes, prominent eyebrows, a red nose, and red lips, with a blue circle around the mouth. A person walks in front of the mural.

This was the first large scale street installation I produced in Greensboro, NC. This was completed by an artist from Los Angeles, The Art of Chase. I called him up as a complete stranger, raised the money and we are still friends to this day almost 10 years later.

Two large murals featuring cartoonish characters are painted on a brick building under construction, with a metal framework overhead and shadows cast on the ground.

In 2018, I was hired to curate this mural with international street artists The London Police (Amsterdam) at Camp North End

Colorful mural featuring animated-style portraits of women with red hair, along with flowers, bees, a rabbit, and other whimsical elements on a building wall.

This is was one of my favorite murals because it is at the Tracks development (https://www.kickassconcepts.com/) I have talked about before but also this artist was from Mexico City and had never done a large scale mural before and really had fun here. He ended up staying in North Carolina for almost a month doing other projects as well.
